Photographer Paul Cunningham captured the ceremony, and more, as Gov. Paul LePage joined several other speakers in Freeport on Wednesday to mark the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Several hundred people attended the annual event, including eighth-graders from Freeport Middle School and the Freeport Flag Ladies.
