Falmouth senior Jack Simonds (left) won the Bob Butler Award Tuesday at the Western Maine Conference basketball awards night. The award is given to one boys’ and one girls’ basketball player who best exemplifies good citizenship, sportsmanship, leadership, dedication and overall court performance and is named for the former York High School athletic director, teacher, coach and Heal Points statistician. Simonds’ father, Michael (right), won the award back in 1992, representing Scarborough High School. Gray-New Gloucester’s Maria Valente won the girls’ award.
