Artist Squidge Davis guides students at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School in Brunswick through a silent process of working with clay on Wednesday, “using the same techniques and gestures as our ancient ancestors,” according to Kristi Hatrick, executive director of Arts Are Elementary. The nonprofit organization has been sending artists, writers and performers for artist residencies in Brunswick elementary schools since 1980.
