CAPE ELIZABETH — Registration for the 14th annual TD Bank Beach to Beacon 10K road race will begin on March 14 for Cape Elizabeth residents and March 15 for the general public.
Due to a $25,000 fee imposed by the town for the use of Fort Williams Park, race organizers have increased the registration fee by $5 and have increased the field by 250 participants. The race is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6.
Online registration for residents will begin at at 7 a.m. March 14 at beachtobeacon.org and is limited to 600 participants. The next day, online registration will open to the general public, limited to 4,000 people.
The remaining 1,750 spots will be distributed by lottery, with registration from March 15-22 and the drawing on March 23. There is a $5 fee to enter the lottery.
