PORTLAND — Shirley Jordan, 75, of Portland died Dec. 11, at Maine Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Madison, Jan. 7, 1938, and graduated from Windham High School in 1956. After high school, she joined First Portland National Bank, later known as Canal Bank.

Jordan was a talented seamstress, making many bridal gowns and bridal attire along with children’s clothes and costumes for her grandchildren.

She and her husband, Bruce, enjoyed traveling with many of their friends, including taking a cruise, trips to the Caribbean and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed bowling and bingo.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce, of Portland; daughter, Sherry and husband, Mark, of Windham along with their sons, Shawn and Adam; son, Michael and wife, Elaine, of Windham and their children, Logan and Lexie; daughters, Kathie and Pam and son, Kevin, of Portland.

Visiting hours were held Dec. 16, at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, Portland, where a funeral was held Dec. 17. Interment at Moss Side will be in the spring.
