HARPSWELL — Ellen Shillinglaw said she will run to replace Selectman Elinor Multer, who announced in October that she is stepping down from the board a year before her three-year term ends.

Shillinglaw, who is a member of the Board of Appeals and the Town Lands Committee, ran unsuccessfully in 2013 a three-way race for a board seat won by Selectman Rick Daniel.

If Shillinglaw is elected this time, she would complete the remaining year of Multer’s term.

Nomination papers become available at the Town Clerk’s office on Friday, Dec. 16, and are due back by the close of business on Jan. 25, 2017.

Elections will be held at Town Meeting on March 11, 2017, and will include the seat held by Selectman Kevin Johnson.
