SCARBOROUGH — The Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency will hold a regional sheltering drill at Scarborough High School, 11 Municipal Drive, this Saturday, May 17, at 8 a.m.

The exercise will imitate a large-scale natural disaster and will test the preparedness of the 13 participating agencies, which include the southern Maine chapter of the American Red Cross, the Cumberland County Animal Response Team, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Southern Maine Community Organizations Active in Disaster.

The organizations will attempt to sustain services and provide health care and resources to “victims” played by volunteers. Those interested in volunteering can register at the high school at 8 a.m. Saturday.
