SOUTH PORTLAND — Sharon L. Violette, 67, of South Portland, died unexpectedly on Sept. 27 at Maine Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 5, 1947, a daughter of William and Mary (Killinger) Cardona. She attended local schools.

Violette was a former communicant of St. Dominic’s Church and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

She worked for Goodwill Industries for many years. She loved spending time with her family, and loved her granddaughter very much.

She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Violette, in 1996, and also by her parent and a sister, Jeanne Cram.

She is survived by a son, William Violette, and wife, Frances, of Wailua, Hawaii; a grandchild, Courtney, of Windham; three sisters, Mary Jane Haycock and husband, Bruce, of Biddeford, Deborah Norton and husband, Leon, of Pittsfield, and Ann Marie Haycock and husband, Stanley, of Raymond; many nieces, nephews and cousins, including David Cram-Stanley, with whom she loved.

A funeral was held Oct. 3 at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery, in South Portland.
