CAPE ELIZABETH — The Cape Elizabeth Historical Preservation Society will host a three part series for senior citizens through the town’s community services department. The series, titled “I remember Cape Elizabeth: senior stories extraordinary memories,” will focus on participants sharing their memories, stories, and photographs of what life was like growing up in Cape Elizabeth in days past.

The program, which is supported by a Maine Humanities Council grant, will be led by photographer Janice Reale, a member of the historical preservation society, and is welcome to all seniors of all communities. The focus of the program is on strengthening connections between past and present in the Cape community, recording and sharing personal memories of seniors who have lived or currently live in the town.

Stories will be displayed for the community at a future date.

The series will be held April 28, May 5, and May 19 from 10-11 a.m. at the Cape Elizabeth Community Services building on Ocean House Road. Light refreshments will be served. 

There is not a fee to participate, but interested seniors are asked to register by calling community services at 799-2457. Those who cannot attend but are interested in sharing their stories should contact Janice Reale at 233-4985.
