BRUNSWICK — The Mid Coast Area Housing Association will host a seminar Tuesday, Sept. 8, on new rules governing lead-safe work practices.

The seminar, geared toward contractors and builders, will be held at the China Rose restaurant at 5 p.m.

Rick Reibstein, a former attorney for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, will discuss a new federal rule that requires lead-safe work practices in homes built before 1978, as well as child-occupied facilities.

The law goes into effect in April 2010. For information on its provisions visit epa.gov/lead. To RSVP for the seminar, contact Pam Murray at 443-6863 or pammurray2007@yahoo.com.
