SCARBOROUGH — The Scarborough Economic Development Corp. will host its annual meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Landing at Pine Point.
Former Gov. Angus King will deliver the keynote address at the meeting, which will celebrate SEDCO’s 25th anniversary.
The SEDCO board of directors will also hand out five awards to Scarborough businesses.
“These five businesses exhibit both business acumen and community spirit,” SEDCO Executive Director Harvey Rosenfeld said.
Robert Gaudreau, president of Hardypond Construction for Elevation Farms will receive the Project of the Year award.
Hospice of Southern Maine will receive the Outstanding Community Service award.
Len Libby Chocolates will receive the Legacy Business of the Year award.
PlumChoice will receive the New Business of the Year award.
Snyder & Bilodeau, CPA will receive the Micro Business of the Year award.
The meeting is open to the public and tickets are $15 at the door.
