    Appointments

    The Cumberland County Civic Center Board of Trustees recently re-elected Portland attorney Neal Pratt as chairman of the board. He is a partner at Preti Flaherty and represents Falmouth, Scarborough and Westbrook on the board. The trustees also appointed Brian Dudley to the board. He is the development director at Cheverus High School and will represent Portland and Long Island.

    Lyman Moore honored by Portland NAACP

    PORTLAND — The NAACP Portland Branch has awarded Lyman Moore Middle School in Portland for the school's work to create a healthy climate that encourages student success.

    The school received the reward because it has a "stated mission to build relationships among families, educators and the community to promote the healthy development and academic achievement of every learner."
