Mother Nature might disagree, but there’s one place that winter is giving way to spring and that’s Bowdoin College, where the winter sports season is winding down and the spring campaign is underway. Last weekend, Mallory Andrews (who had a goal) and the women’s hockey team defeated Wesleyan, 2-1, in the NESCAC quarterfinals. The Polar Bears meet Colby Saturday at 4 p.m., in Williamstown, Mass.
Across campus, the men’s lacrosse season began and David Nemirov (who scored twice) and the Polar Bears opened in style with an 11-6 win over Williams.
