STANDISH — Scott B. Williams, 80, of Standish and a longtime resident of Cumberland, died June 19 at Maine Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 30, 1932, in Portland, the son of Raymond Williams and Rachel Baker Williams. He attended Portland schools and at 17 joined the U.S. Marine Corps, proudly serving his country for two tours of duty during the Korean War. Upon returning, he became a journeyman plumber and welder, working for WL Blake and for Douglas Brothers until his retirement in 1998. He married Nancy Corey in 1956 and they were together for 33 years until her death in 1989. He married his second wife, S. Rebecca Nason, in 1992.

Williams loved anything on wheels and was an avid motorcyclist. He belonged to the Blue Knights motorcycle group and the Harley Owners group and his love of travel and motorcycles took him all over the country and parts of Canada.

He was a true family man and loved his kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Becky; and her children, Kristeen Jordan, of Mechanic Falls, and Mark Madsen, of Standish. He is also survived by his daughter, Rhonda Williams, of Portland; his sons Ray Williams, of Windham, and Brad Williams, and wife, Renee, of Freeport. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. June 30 at Saint Joseph’s College, 278 Whites Bridge Road, in Standish.
