The goal of the Maine Center for Leadership and Innovation is to create opportunities for “a high-quality, research-based system of professional learning experiences and support for school- and district-level leaders,” according to a department press release.

The Greater Sebago Education Alliance consists of the Portland, South Portland, Scarborough, Cape Elizabeth, Gorham, Westbrook and Brunswick school departments, along with Regional School Unit 6 (based in Buxton), RSU 14 (Windham) and RSU 15 (Gray).

The alliance will receive a portion of $4.2 million being made available by the state.
