Bristol to perform solo
classical piano concert
FREEPORT — Will Bristol, a sophomore at Merriconeag Waldorf High School, will perform a solo classical piano concert as part of the piano series at the Franco American Heritage Center in Lewiston.
The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on March 7. Tickets are $15 for adults, and students are free with an adult.
Savasuk named
Bowdoin Scholar
BRUNSWICK — Kathryn Mary Savasuk of Cumberland Foreside was named a Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholar at the Sarah and James Bowdoin Day ceremony held at the college.
The award is given to students in the top 20 percent of each class from the previous academic year. Frederick, Galli earn
honors at Elmira College
ELMIRA, N.Y. — Jameson Frederick of Cumberland and Joseph Galli of Yarmouth earned recognition as Cowles Honor Scholars for cumulative academic achievement at Elmira College.
Frederick and Galli were also both named to the Dean’s list for the fall 2008 semester.
