SCARBOROUGH — A Pin Oak Drive resident faces a Feb. 5, 2013, date in Cumberland County Unified Docket in Portland after her arrest Dec. 1 for allegedly firing a handgun at her husband.

Officials at the Cumberland County Jail in Portland said Angela Haddad, 34, was released on $1,000 bail Dec. 3 and faces a charge of domestic violence reckless conduct.

In a news release, Scarborough police said Haddad shot at her husband while she held the couple’s 6-month-old child. Officers were called to the West Oak Apartment Complex around 11:45 p.m. after Haddad went to a nearby apartment and told a neighbor her husband was outside with a gun.

Police investigating the call concluded Haddad fired one round after an argument, and said Haddad admitted she wanted to kill her husband. He was uninjured, but a bullet hole was discovered in a wall above a rear window in the apartment.

Additional charges of child endangerment and violating conditions of release will not be pursued, jail officials said.
