SCARBOROUGH — Cat and dog owners may bring their pets to be inoculated at a rabies clinic, sponsored by animal control and the town clerk’s office in cooperation with Scarborough Animal Hospital.

The clinic at the Scarborough Middle School cafeteria will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3. Cost for the vaccine is $10 for dogs and $15 for cats; all pets must be crated or leashed. A three-year rabies certificate will be issued with proof of prior inoculation. With no prior shot, the certificate will be good for one year.

State law requires all dogs 6 months and older to be licensed. Licensing is available now for 2010 and requires a rabies certificate. The cost to license a dog is $6 if spayed or neutered and $10 for unaltered dogs. For further information, call 730-4020.
