Scarborough’s Morgan Sewall (second from left) recently won the Novice Ladies title at the New England Regional Figure Skating Championships in Boston. She’s the first Maine ladies freestyle skater to win New Englands since 1996 and tallied a personal best of 104.97 points. Sewall also earned a spot on the U.S. Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships in Jamestown, N.Y., Nov. 15-19, becoming the first Maine skater since 2003 to do so. The top four skaters there move on to the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in San Jose, Calif., in January.
