SCARBOROUGH — A Saco man faces multiple charges for drugs and weapons after an incident Wednesday morning on Route 1.

Police Detective Sgt. Rick Rouse said Aaron Gouzie, 26, was riding in a vehicle around 11:10 a.m. when he allegedly flashed a handgun “in a threatening manner” at a female motorist.

The woman contacted police and provided a vehicle description and partial license plate number. Police stopped the car near Route 1 and Hannaford Drive, and Gouzie was charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle and possession of a Schedule Z drug.

The driver of the car Gouzie was in was not charged.

Gouzie was also charged with trafficking in marijuana after police allegedly found him in possession of six ounces of marijuana and a scale. Officials at Cumberland County Jail in Portland on Thursday said Gouzie had been released, but had no information about his bail.
