The homeowner reportedly hopped into his own car to follow the suspect. While tailing the alleged hit-and-runner, he called Scarborough police to report the accident, and that he was taking the lead. Eventually, the suspect pulled into a driveway in Saco, and the wronged resident let the police, who weren’t far behind, take over. Peter M. Fogg, 32, of McKenney Road, Saco, was arrested for operating with a suspended or revoked license, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and criminal mischief. Police said Fogg told them he left the accident because he didn’t have a valid license. Damage to the mailbox was estimated at $200.
