11/4 at 11:32 a.m. Staff at Frederick Bros. Oil on U.S. Route 1 reported the theft of two 50-foot extension cords and three 100-foot extension cords valued at  $350. Police said the cords did not have any distinguishing marks on them.

11/8 at 2:24 p.m. Police investigating two people trying to cash stolen checks at Gorham Savings Bank on Hannaford Drive believe one of the suspects used an authentic identification card.

No place like home

11/9 at 2:17 a.m. A Vesper Street resident who got up to let her dog out discovered a woman asleep on her couch. The woman then left and was walking toward Higgins Beach when stopped by police. She said she lived nearby and had been drinking that night.
