5/17 at 1:46 a.m. Michael Lionetta, 48, of Portland, was arrested at the Dunstan School House by Officer Scott Vaughan on a warrant for another agency.

5/17 at 3:29 p.m.  Alex Bragdon, 21, of South Portland, was arrested on Highland Avenue by Officer Peter Nappi on charges of criminal speeding, attaching false plates and operating a vehicle without a license.

5/19 at 10:10 p.m. Deena Metzler, 23, of South Portland, was arrested on Spurwink Road by Officer Andrew Flynn on a warrant for another agency.

Summonses

There were no summonses reported for May 17 through May 20.

Lawn care thief

5/17 at 8:35 a.m. An employee of Maine Turf and Greenery called to report three items stolen from a locked trailer on the property. The items reported stolen were two gas-powered grass trimmers valued at $500 and a backpack leaf blower valued at $550. Police said there were no signs of forced entry. The burglary is still under investigation.

Pawsitively pilfered puppy

5/18 at 4:59 p.m. Police responded to Pawsitively Pets upon the report of two women stealing a male Shi-poo puppy from the store. The employee called police after she allegedly discovered that one woman had been distracting her while the other walked out of the store with the $900 puppy. The dog had a microchip installed in it, which police say may be used to track the dog down and catch the thieves. There were no video cameras in the store.

Another Holmes, Payne Road accident

5/19 at 7:42 a.m. Police and EMS responded to the scene of a four-car accident at the intersection of Holmes and Payne roads. One car reportedly rear-ended another that was stopped at the light on Holmes Road, which forced that car into the one in front of it, which forced that one into the one in front of it. One person was transported to Mercy Hospital for minor injuries. The accident comes after an accident at the same intersection killed a Scarborough High School senior and seriously injured his friend two weeks ago.
