3/4 at 11:56 a.m. A driver on Holmes Road was given warnings for unsafe operation and failure to use a safety belt after allegedly ignoring the signal at Holmes and Broadturn roads and passing a vehicle in a no-passing zone on Holmes Road.

3/5 at 9:28 a.m. A Scarborough High School student reported the theft of $60 from a fleece jacket left in a classroom.

Leafing through things

3/6 at 8:03 a.m. A man using the recycling bin outside Walmart on Gallery Boulevard reported he saw two discarded marijuana plants. Police said the plants were “wilted, saturated, hard to identify visually,” but a field test showed they were not marijuana.

Cut it out

3/7 at 11:22 a.m. A man seen pulling into driveways in the Pine Point Road area told police he was looking for tree limb removal jobs. He was advised to look elsewhere.
