6/22 at 3:00 p.m. Brandon Shelzi, 19, of Gorham Road, Scarborough, was arrested by Officer Peter Nappi and charged with passing a stopped school bus, operating a vehicle without a license, failure to register a vehicle, failure to stop for officer and refusing to submit to arrest/detention.

6/25 at 5:18 p.m. Jamie Ouch, 19, of Bayside Street, Portland, was arrested by Sergeant Steven Thibodeau and charged with operating a vehicle without a license.

6/25 at 11:23 p.m. Stefan Hamilton, 20, of Victoria Drive, Westbrook, was arrested by Officer Donald Laflin and charged with operating when license is suspended/revoked, driving to endanger, failure to give correct name, address or date of birth, violating bail condition of release and criminal mischief.

6/26 at 1:20 p.m. Ewing Fox, 55, of Lewis Hill Road, Bowdoin, was arrested by Sergeant Steven Thibodeau and charged with operating under the influence.

6/26 at 11:24 p.m. Jason Walker, 34, of Kenney Road, Gorham, was arrested by Officer Scott Vaughan and charged with operating under the influence.

6/22 at 6:41 p.m. Richard Laroche, 55, of Main Street, South Portland, was issued a summons by Officer Glenn Tucker on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking/transfer.

6/22 at 8:10 p.m. Shannon Watters, 31, of Portland, was issued a  summons by Officer Timothy Barker on a charge of operating when license is suspended/revoked.

6/26 at 12:52 a.m. Phillip Caron, 24, of Myrtle Street, Westbrook, was issued a summons by Officer Andrew Flynn on a charge of operating under the influence.

6/26 at 9:37 p.m. Tyler Parechanian, 18, of Evergreen Farms Road, Scarborough, was summonsed by Officer Scott Vaughan on charges of minor transporting liquor and illegal transportation of drugs by minor.

6/27 at 1:13 a.m. Ashley Jordan, 21, of Standish, was issued a summons by Officer Robert Pellerin on a charge of operating a vehicle without a license.

Not so safe

6/22 at 7:47 a.m. A Woodfield Drive woman called police to report the theft of two safe boxes from her closet. Police said the burglar most likely gained entry through an unlocked exterior door. According to the victim, the safes contained $7,000 in cash and more than $20,000 worth of jewelry. Police have a suspect.

Rash of smash and dash

6/24 at 6:30 a.m., 8:41 a.m., 8:57 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. Police received a number of reports from residents whose mailboxes had been smashed by what appeared to be a baseball bat. In the first incident, a Sullivan Farm Road woman said she had been awakened with what she thought were gunshots. She looked out the window and saw someone riding away on a bicycle. Later that morning, she realized her mailbox had been destroyed.

A-luring catch
