2/13 at 2:36 a.m. Crystal L. Miller, 25, of Bradley Street, Lewiston, was arrested on Payne Road by Officer Garrett Strout on charges of unlawful possession of oxycodone, unlawful possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of penicillin and sale or use of drug paraphernalia.

2/13 at 11:31 a.m. Marcia M. Belanger, 47, of St. Mary’s Street, Biddeford, was arrested on Pine Point Road by Officer Melissa DiClemente on a charge of operating with a suspended or revoked license.

2/15 at 2:55 a.m. Maria L. Allen Alofs, 30, of Walton Street, Portland, was arrested on Payne Road by Officer Garrett Strout on charges of operating with a suspended or revoked license and violating bail conditions of release.

2/15 at 7:33 a.m. Clifton D. Joyner, 23, of Post Road, Moody, was arrested on Black Point Road by Officer Garrett Strout on charges of unlawful possession of cocaine and sale or use of drug paraphernalia.

2/15 at 3:22 p.m. Jeremiah C. Hastings, 35, of Route 1, and Farra M. Hastings, 26, of Range Road, Atkinson, were arrested on Beech Ridge Road by Officer Glenn Tucker on a charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer of an item valued at more than $10,000.

2/15 at 8:36 p.m. Alexander V. Roth, 25, of East Grand Avenue, was arrested on Pine Point Road by Officer Ian Theriault on charges of operating with a suspended or revoked license, sale or use of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation or parole.

Not playing opossum

2/13 at 8:22 p.m. A resident called to report an opossum laying supine on Pleasant Hill Road. Officers arrived and – finding the opossum was dead, not just “playing opossum” – moved its body to the side of the road.

Itemized complaint

2/15 at 3:22 p.m. A motorist was driving along Beech Ridge Road when he saw a truck hauling what he believed to be his brother’s construction trailer full of equipment. He called the police, who said the driver pulling the allegedly stolen goods, Jeremiah C. Hastings, 35, of Route 1, claimed he was a former employee of the trailer’s owner and was holding it hostage until he received his W2 forms, which were late. Officers arrested Hastings and Farra Hastings, 25, of Atkinson, on charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. 

Open and shut case

2/17 at 1:15 p.m. Officers were called to Al’s Variety Store on Pleasant Hill Road when a resident reported the shop’s screen door was open and suspected foul play. Police secured the building and closed the door.
