Burglus interruptus

8/13 at 2:57 a.m. A Freedom Road homeowner reported interrupting a burglary in progress. The alleged suspect escaped, riding a Trek mountain bike and carrying a pink purse taken from the homeowner’s car. The purse, containing $5 and bicycle were found off Mitchell Hill Road. The money was returned, and police have the bicycle.

Knock knock, whose fare?

8/14 at 4 a.m. Police responding to a disturbance at Extended Stay Hotel on Ashley Drive found a man outside a room banging on a window to get a companion to pay his cab fare. The driver was paid and police left.
