SCARBOROUGH — The Scarborough Public Library will welcome David McCann for a sijo poetry reading and writing workshop Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. 

McCann is a retired Harvard professor of Korean literature and expert in Korean sijo – a counterpart to the Japanese poetry form of haiku. He received the Touchstone Award in 2015 and his works have been published in journals in both the United States and Seoul, Korea, according to a news release. 

The reading will include selections from his recently published book of poetry, “Lost and Found.” Copies will be available for purchase and signing.
