SCARBOROUGH — The town is seeking the perfect name for its newest park, currently under construction at Pine Point Beach.

The town is holding a name-the-park contest to solicit suggestions from the public. The Town Council will then choose the winning name.

Entries can be submitted by filling out the form on the town’s website, or by visiting the town clerk’s office. The deadline for entries is July 2 and there is no limit to how many entries a person can submit.

Submissions can also be sent to yjustice@scarborough.me.us with “Park Name Contest” in the subject line, by fax to 730-4033 or by mailing the forms to the Town Clerk at P.O. Box 360 in Scarborough.

The winner will be chosen at the council meeting on July 21.
