Al Grady, 17, of Hollis, left, and Abigail Snow, 17, of Scarborough, play the roles of Mary and Joseph during a living nativity at West Scarborough United Methodist Church, 2 Church St., in Scarborough on Sunday, Dec. 13. The church has been recreating the nativity scene for at least 16 years, as long as Vicki Mathews, who is now the organizer of the event, can remember. “The main reason we do it is to try to have a presence in the community, to open our doors and share our message,” Mathews said.
Caroline Hartley, 9, of Scarborough, and her brother Jack, 8, pet a donkey owned by Colleen Donley of Gorham during a living nativity at West Scarborough United Methodist Church on Sunday evening.
