SCARBOROUGH — The Town Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday night, Oct. 21, was cancelled due to lack of a quorum, according to the town website.

The council was scheduled to have a second reading and vote on the installation of parking meters for the 13 spaces along Bayview Avenue, at Higgins Beach. The meeting agenda said the cost of the meters would not exceed $17,000.

Agenda items from the cancelled meeting will be discussed at the next meeting, on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
