SCARBOROUGH — The Southern Maine Agency on Aging received a $500 grant from the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation. The money will be used to support wellness programs for older adults.
The grant is part of Harvard Pilgrim’s Community Spirit 9/11 program, which was created to commemorate members who lost their lives during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The program allows each Harvard Pilgrim employee to award a mini-grant to the local charity of their choice. The agency on aging was nominated by MaryEllen Joyce.
