A man who was holding a sign that read “Free Taxes” while standing on the edge of Route 1 in front of Liberty Tax Service was asked by a police officer to stand back from the road after reportedly almost being hit by several cars.

3/9 at 2:42 p.m. Police were called to break up a fight at the soccer field in Memorial Park. When they arrived, they found about 50 kids fighting but there were no reports of injuries.
Diss-service
3/13 at 4:10 p.m.
Police received a report from a customer at Wal-Mart who said a man had harassed and threatened his service dog. Officers spoke with the suspect, who said he was joking and just took it a little too far. The officers told him not to approach a service dog in the future.
Serving up a knuckle sandwich
3/14 at 12:14 a.m.
Officers were called to a fight in progress at the American Legion Hall on Manson Libby Road. When they investigated, they discovered a brother and sister had been fighting. Although the man had bloody knuckles, he denied any involvement in the fight.

Police responded to the Southern Maine Community College dorm after receiving a complaint that a drunk male was disturbing the residents. Upon arrival, police reportedly found Sammie Coombs and warned him about his conduct. After a few more complaints, police returned and arrested Coombs, 19, on a charge of violating bail conditions. Coombs had originally been arrested and charged with terrorizing and possession of alcohol by consumption on March 7 at the dorm. Coombs, a resident of the dorm, reportedly was fighting with his roommate on that day and although police showed up and told them to stop, Coombs reportedly continued and police had to return to the dorm and arrest him.
