BATH — Saphira Sue Rich, 7 months old, died unexpectedly on Feb. 21 in Patten.
She was born on July 13, 2011, in Brunswick and resided with her parents, Andrew D. Rich and Oshiana L. Caldwell in Bath.
Throughout her seven months, Rich laughed and smiled, bringing joy and happiness to everyone she touched. She was a happy and content baby with a smile that filled her family’s hearts with so much love.
She is survived by her parents, Andrew and Oshiana; maternal grandmother, Melanie R. Caldwell of Bath; paternal grandmother, Susan Rich of Patten; maternal great-grandmother, Marjorie L. Rice of Woolwich; paternal great-grandparents, Walter and Janet Rich of Patten; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Gary D. Caldwell, and maternal great-grandfather, Maurice N. Rice.
Visiting hours will be held on March 2 from noon to 2 p.m. at the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath, followed by a celebration of life. After the service there will be a gathering of family and friends at the American Legion on Congress Avenue in Bath.
