BRUNSWICK — The deadline to apply for this year’s Santa Fund is Dec. 14.

The fund, which is run by the Bath-Brunswick Elks Lodge, has for more than 40 years supplied children up to age 13 with gifts for the holidays. The fund gives toys like sleds and bicycles, and warm clothes, to families in Sagadahoc County, and Harpswell, Brunswick, Richmond and Litchfield.

To apply, families are asked to send a letter to The Santa Fund, P.O. Box 278, Brunswick, ME 04011; then call 207-504-6624 several days after mailing for a package number and pick-up location.

If you wish to contribute to the Santa Fund, there is a benefit auction at Joshua’s Tavern in Brunswick Thursday, Dec. 3, at 8 p.m., and a “jingle jam” concert at the Brunswick Elks Lodge, Dec. 5, from 3-9 p.m.

The Taste of Maine in Woolwich will also host a benefit brunch Dec. 13. Admission is 99 cents and an unwrapped toy.
