SCARBOROUGH — Sandra White, 52, of Scarborough and formerly of Pineland Center, died unexpectedly on Feb. 5.

White was born Sept. 28, 1962, in Houlton, the daughter of Merlin A. and Sonya G. (Bither) White.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including visits with her family, especially her mom; spending time with her friends, caregivers and therapy dogs; dining out at McDonald’s; listening to country music; taking drives in the neighborhood; and summer days at Camp Tall Pines.

White was predeceased by her father in July 2014.

She is survived by her mother, Sonya G. White; sister, Linda Mitchell, and her husband, Michael; her brother, Merle White Jr.; and two nephews, William and A.J. Mitchell.

Visiting hours will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family extends thanks to the staff at Pineland Center and at CASA Inc., who provided White a caring home and many fond memories.
