TOPSHAM — Sandra J. Schrader, 60, died unexpectedly on Feb. 27.

She was born Jan. 7, 1952, to Vernon Dale and Gloria Benedict Sutton of Rochester, Ind.

When she was young, her family moved to Arizona where she later met her husband of 43 years, Ronald Raymond Schrader. Her husband joined the U.S. Navy and they later moved to Jacksonville, Fla., to raise their family. They were later stationed in Topsham.

Schrader worked at Arrow Heart for 18 years, where she made many lifelong friends. She retired in 2002.

She was a loving grandmother who spent much of her time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping with friends, baking, crafting, working in her garden and traveling with her husband. She loved spending time with her family and was well known for accepting people as they are.

Her friends and family will remember her for her silly and joyful laugh.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; sons Dustin James, Blaine Raymond and Delane Roy Schrader; grandchildren Samantha Dee Schrader, Michael John Truden and Jillian June Truden; sisters Vicki Wheeler of Kewana, Ind., and Karen Smith of Lakeside, Ariz.; and brother Jess Sutton of Kewana, Ind.
 
Visiting hours were held on March 1 at Stetson’s Funeral Home in Brunswick. A celebration of her life will be held on March 2 at 1 p.m. at Stetson’s.
