PORTLAND — Sandra D. (Chaneski) Perry Wysowski, 64, of Portland, died at home March 13, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on Sept. 10, 1951, the daughter of the late Walter Chaneski and Florence Donald.
Wysowski moved with her family to Portland at the age of 5, and graduated from Deering High School with the class of 1969. She later attended nursing school.
She worked various jobs, including as a single mother of two boys. During the last 20 years Wysowski worked at Cedars Nursing Home, Maxim Healthcare and, most recently, at Falmouth-by-the-Sea as a private duty CNA.
She married Phillip Wysowski on April 6, 2002, and moved into the dream home they built in Portland, where they made many great memories.
Wysowski enjoyed gardening, bird watching, taking care of her many animals, and decorating. She also enjoyed traveling, and loved seeing new places.
She is survived by her two sons, Cameron A. Perry, of Baldwin and Scott M. Petty, of Portland; two granddaughters, Haley and Hannah Perry, of Portland; her former husband, Phillip Wysowski, of Portland; an aunt, Irene Mielko, of Toms River, New Jersey; a cousin, Maureen Lande, of New York City; and her friend, Linda MacDonald, whom she thought of as the sister she never had.
A celebration of life was held March 20, A.T. Hutchins Funeral & Cremation Services in Portland.
