PORTLAND — Sandra Ann Crawford, 71, of Portland, died at home April 29. She was born Oct. 28, 1941, in Keene, N.H., the daughter of Eva and Elton Cox.

Crawford was a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to so many people, but she was “Nana” to everyone. She was the glue that held her family and so many others together. She had a smile that lit up any room, no matter how dark. She gave everything and expected nothing.

Crawford died on the birthday of her beloved friend, Catherine Russo. She is loved by so many and she will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her children, Sue Ann, Cathy, Tammy, Debbie, Scott, Randy and Dan; her grandchildren, Justin, Tina, Alex, Danielle, Kaylee, David and Chris; her great-grandchildren, Michaela, Braydon, Ezekiel, Taylor, Theresa, James, Bryan and Dylan; and her sister, Sue Cox Landry.

Visiting hours were scheduled for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday with a 1 p.m. memorial service at A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave., in Portland. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, in South Portland.
