BATH — The Sagadahoc County Emergency Management Agency has rolled out a new page on Facebook.

At facebook.com/SagadahocCountyEMA, users can have a direct line of communication with Sagadahoc emergency management staff, and learn about public health information, emergency preparedness tips and power outage restoration efforts, and receive notifications about emergency management activities and community events.

“Increasingly, our residents turn to social media for news,” Sagadahoc County EMA Director Eric Sawyer stated in a department press release. “Following the SCEMA on Facebook will ensure the public not only has access to information provided by the county, but just as importantly, it will facilitate a two-way dialogue and serve as a way for users to notify and engage us about issues of concern in their communities.”
