PORTLAND — A 26-year-old Saco woman was killed June 2 in an all-terrain vehicle crash in North Deering.
Shelby Peters, whose address was not released by police, was killed after her ATV struck a tree near the intersection of Summit Street and Curtis Road, Lt. Bob Martin of the Portland Police Department said in a press release.
The accident occurred around 10 p.m., and Peters died from her injuries after being taken to Maine Medical Center. Peters was riding alone when the single-vehicle accident happened; the incident remains under investigation, Martin said.
