Alleged small scale offenders
1/25 at 8:15 p.m. Officer Scott Corbett stopped a vehicle on Main Street for an expired registration. However, odors emitting from the vehicle lead to a search, during which Corbett allegedly found a small amount of marijuana and an electronic scale. The 17-year-old driver was summonsed for sale and use of drug paraphernalia and the 17-year-old passenger was summonsed for sale and use of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Pyrotechnic pick-up
1/27 at 2:46 p.m. Officer Scott Corbett stopped a pick-up truck on Cummings Road while conducting speed enforcement with a radar. While the driver was getting his paperwork, Corbett reportedly observed bottle rockets. A subsequent search allegedly produced 14 bottle rockets and 300 firecrackers. Benjamin Hughes, 18, of Buxton, was summonsed for possession of fireworks.
