BRUNSWICK — Ruth F. Driscoll, 88, died March 24 at Amenity Manor Nursing Home.
On March 18, 1922, she was born in Salem, Mass., a daughter of Francis and Marion Frost Herlihy, and attended Salem schools.
On Jan. 10, 1943, she married Murray Driscoll.
After the death of her husband on Oct. 1, 1988, she worked at Auerbach Shoe and later the Jay Brush Company.
She was a member of the Topsham American Legion Post 202 Auxiliary.
Her hobbies included crocheting, gardening and plastic canvas work.
She is survived by her daughter Marie Driscoll of Brunswick; four grandchildren, Raymond Temple of Bath, Mark Driscoll of Portland, Ruth Ann Driscoll and James Driscoll, both of Brunswick; three sisters, Elizabeth Arrington of Peabody, Mass., Dorothy Boyle of Brunswick, Ohio, and Barbara Hall of Jackson, Mich.; two brothers, John Herlihy of Danvers, Mass., and Francis Herlihy of Connecticut.
Memorial services were held earlier this week.
Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick.
