Neil Amidon of York reaches out on Route 77 in Cape Elizabeth to touch a poster honoring Army National Guard Capt. Patrick D. Damon of Falmouth, who died on June 15, 2006, at age 41 while stationed in Bagram, Afghanistan. Amidon, a dentist from York, was taking part in Sunday’s 59-mile “Run for the Fallen” from Ogunquit to Monument Square in Portland.
