YARMOUTH — The dredging of the Royal River is scheduled to begin Oct. 14, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Monday.

The original haul route of the dredged material has been revised and a new map can be found by following a link on the town’s website. The project will be completed by April 1, 2015.

Project Manager Michael Walsh last month said a $2.1 million contract for the dredge was awarded Sept. 5 to Burnham Associates, of Salem, Massachusetts.
