BRUNSWICK — Roy H. Ericson, 97, died April 29 at Thornton Hall.

On Jan. 5, 1913, he was born in North Arlington, N.J.,  the son of Albert and Gerda Hendrickson Ericson.

He married Mary Elizabeth Barton on April 21, 1933, and after her death in 1991, he married Ann Drottar in 1992.

They lived in Glenridge, N.J., from 1949 until moving here in 1975.

For nearly 45 years he was a marketing executive with Exxon Corporation in New York City.

He travelled extensively, both for business and pleasure, throughout North America and South America.

He was predeceased by his first wife Mary in 1991, his second wife Ann in 2000, and two sons, Roy H. Ericson, Jr., and Robert L. Ericson.

He is survived by a son, Richard B. Ericson and his wife, Mary of Houton, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Mary Jane, Roy III, Anita, Rosmary, Kerstine, Robert, Jr., Thomas, Lee Ann, Carl and Megan; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two stepsons, Frederick “Ted” and Steve Drottar.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Catholic School Scholarship Fund, 37 Pleasant St., Brunswick, ME 04011.
