SOUTH PORTLAND — The enduring tradition of Christmas tree sales in Mill Creek Park will be renewed at noon Nov. 23. Sale hours are noon to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Organized by the South Portland-Cape Elizabeth Rotary Club, the 51st annual tree sale takes place near the corner of Ocean Street and Hinckley Drive. Trees from tabletop size to 10 feet tall will be sold to benefit charitable programs, scholarships literacy programs and other club efforts.

Rotary Club memeber Adrienne Murphy said the tree sale is the biggest annual fundraiser for the club. The public is also invited to donate nonperishable food items collected for the South Portland Food Cupboard.
