NORTH YARMOUTH — Roseann “Rose” Quatrano Stoddard, 59, died peacefully at home June 3 with family by her side.
Born in Portland on April 10, 1951, she was a daughter of Aneillio and Veronica (Barney) Quatrano, and attended Portland schools, graduating from Portland High School in 1969.
Later on, she attended the University of Southern Maine, graduating in 1996 with a degree in business administration.
On Aug. 3, 1968, she married the love of her life and best friend, Harold Stoddard III.
Together they raised three daughters and shared many special times as a family. They especially enjoyed camping and canoeing.
When her daughters were younger, she was involved in their Brownie and Girl Scout trooops, and coached softball with her husband.
For 24 years she worked for the Portland Housing Authority as a senior housing officer.
She was an incredibly wonderful woman with a warm smile, kind heart and great sense of humor enjoyed by all.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Harold; three daughters, Diana Dimock and son-in-law Curtis Dimock, Nicole Randall and son-in-law Shaun Randall, Kerry Ann Jordan and son-in-law Eugene Jordan; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Rose Peters, Samuel Austin Randall, Benjamin Paul Randall, Kassidy Rose Jordan; and one great-grandson, Rylan Ernest Aaron Moore; three sisters, Theresa McGarvey, Dolores Hogle and brother-in-law Robert Hogle, Donna Church and brother-in-law Ronald Church, and a brother, Frank Quatrano.
A wake will be held on Monday, June 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the church hall of the North Yarmouth Congregational Church, corner of U.S. Route 115 and Route 231, North Yarmouth.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 8 at 11 a.m. at the North Yarmouth Congregational Church, with a reception immediately following in the church hall.
