BRUNSWICK — Rose Merriman Minott, 75, of Highland Road, died Nov. 25 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Portland on June 29, 1939, the daughter of Walter Standwood Minott and Hazel Orr Minott. She graduated from Brunswick High School, with the Class of 1958.

Minott was employed as a dental assistant, and also worked at Arrowohart, Eastland Shoe and Freeport Shoe. She went on to work at L.L. Bean for 40 years. Following the death of her father, she managed the family farm with the help of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews – work she greatly enjoyed.

Minott was a longtime member of the Growstown Cemetery Association and the local Grange. She loved NASCAR racing, pro wrestling, church suppers and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by a nephew, David Minott.

She is survived by her brother, James A. Minott, of Brunswick; niece, Sandra Laffley; two nephews, Kenneth Walter Minott, of Georgetown, and James A. Minott  Jr., of Brunswick; and several great-nieces, -nephews and cousins. Also to be remembered is Carolyn Woerter, her caretaker and friend during her illness.

A funeral service will be held in the spring.

Interment will be in Growstown Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Brackett Funeral Home, in Brunswick.
