BRUNSWICK — Rose Ellen (Ricker) Croft, 70, of Benton, Ark., died March 30 from cancer at Mid Coast Hospital, surrounded by loving family and friends.

Born May 1, 1940, in Brunswick, a daughter of Edmund and Mabel (Dunning) Ricker, she grew up in Harpswell and attended Brunswick High School.  

After she was married she moved to Arkansas where she raised her sons, Scot and David.

She enjoyed spending her summers in Maine reconnecting with her family. An avid gardener and bird enthusiast, she recruited many of her family members to enjoy these pursuits as well.

She was predeceased by 11 siblings, Edmund, Jr., Raymond, Robert, Leslie, Donald, Wayne, Mildred, Doris, Geneva, Bernice and Mary.

Surviving are her two sons, Scot and his wife Tommye of Magnolia, Ark., and David and his wife Tina of Benton, Ark.; five grandchildren, Blaine and Madison Croft of Magnolia, Ark.,  Christopher and his wife Heather, Mallory and Connor Croft of Benton, Ark.; four siblings, Barbara Bolduc of Southington, Conn., Catherine Wilson of Sabattus, Cynthia Waldron of Hampstead, N.H., and Sumner Ricker of Harpswell; a large extended family; and dear friends in Arkansas.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date this summer.
